Thank you to everyone who entered this month’s giveaway for a copy of the New 38th edition of the Ball Blue Book of Preserving.
I asked each of you for your favorite canning recipes, and I was amazed by the creativity of your answers. Many of them are classic recipes I know and love, but quite a few were recipes new to me that I can’t wait to try.
Y’all are putting so many wonderful things up in jars; I’m impressed!
I went through all the answers, and to my surprise, some of the most common things were salsas (tomato and fruit-based), tomato sauces (both Italian style and Mexican style), and hot pepper jellies (with or without fruit). With hundreds of recipes up on the site, somehow, I don’t have any of those!
I’ll be fixing that this summer for sure!
